The Community Forest Rights-Learning and Advocacy (CFR-LA) process was initiated in 2011. The process was initiated to facilitate exchange of information and experiences related to Community Forest Rights (CFR) provisions of the Forest Rights Act 2006. Various actors involved in CFR-LA process attempt to facilitate people to people learning, awareness and training programmes, and need based and site specific help to each other. Attempts are also made towards evidence-based state and national level advocacy on CFRs. This is done by facilitating dialogues at all levels, writing petitions to concerned government agencies, producing citizen’s reports, regular newsletters, state reports, and organizing state and national level consultations website (http://fra.org.in) and a list serve based discussion group (to join visit: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/CFR-la) have been created as part of CFR-LA.
